Whats really sad is that I know exactly where that photo was taken. It's an onramp off Furman St.
The first time I drove in NYC, there was construction at Cadman Plaza so all traffic was diverted down Furman and back onto the BQE from there. Making that turn at night was one of the more interesting experiences I've had driving.
